From online to onsite: creating the "parker-experience"
ParkCloud has completed integration with access control provider Scheidt & Bachmann, streamlining the entry and exit procedure to parking facilities at Allgäu Memmingen Airport, in Germany.
ParkCloud's position as a booking agent gives it an insight into balancing the needs of drivers and parking operators. Partnerships within the parking industry have allowed ParkCloud to bring the benefits of pre-booking to the driver-experience on-site, as well as online, ultimately creating a service tailored to the needs of an increasingly tech-savvy customer base.
Drivers choosing to reserve parking at Allgäu Airport through ParkCloud's systems will now be able to gain access to their parking space by simply presenting their payment card at the Scheidt & Bachmann entrance barriers. This creates a streamlined customer journey at entry as well as upon exiting the car park, ultimately improving passengers' experience of the airport facilities at key moments in their journey.
The integration with Scheidt & Bachmann is the latest step in ParkCloud’s recent drive to make pre-booking a part of this "parker-experience", and follows a number of other integrations in recent months. Connection to Designa's ANPR has simplified access to Budapest Airport since 2014. More recently, ParkCloud interfaced with Thales to add PIN codes to booking vouchers for drivers using the facilities at Beauvais-Tillé Airport in France. For these two clients, joining the dots between the steps of the driver's journey before and at the car park have already demonstrated benefits: increased bookings, lower staffing costs and improved profitability.
For Allgäu Airport, ParkCloud’s latest integration further enhances the improvements already made to the customer experience through the implementation of ParkCloud's >Direct product, which established a booking engine on Allgäu‘s website in 2013, opening up its parking spaces to further exposure online.
