Paris Est Station information
Paris Gare de l'Est, known as the "East station" in English, is the one of the largest and oldest railway stations in Paris, France. It is owned by the SNCF, France's national state-owned railway company. The station is the departure point for the Paris-Strasbourg and the Paris-Mulhouse lines, along with hundreds of other destinations across eastern France, Belgium and Germany, which are accessible via regional services as well as numerous high speed "TGV" ones.
Paris Est station was built in 1849 and since then has been renovated twice, in 1885 and 1900. It is located very close to Paris Nord, another of Paris' major railway gateways to the rest of France, in the city's 10th district.
