Plain sailing for parking at Italian ports

ParkCloud’s partnerships with the port authorities at Genoa and Civitavecchia are making parking accessible to customers from across Europe.

At Civitavecchia, often known as the “Port of Rome”, due to its proximity to the capital city, ParkCloud has been promoting on-site parking since 2011. Customers can pre-book parking through an integrated booking engine on the port authority’s own website.

In addition, since February last year, ParkCloud has provided online bookings for the parking service of the Genoa Port authority, helping to increase the use of its spaces by customers. Customers can consult the availability of spaces ahead of their trip and secure a space, enhancing the experience and the operational processes of the facility.

Genoa and Civitavecchia ports are amongst the most popular departure points on the Mediterranean coast, attracting holidaymakers taking cruises with household names such as MSC Crociere, Royal Caribbean and Costa Cruises. The international customer base of both ports meant that there was demand for multi-lingual access to a parking reservation service, and, through ParkCloud, both ports’ facilities are currently marketed in several languages.
