ParkCloud shortlisted for International Trade Award

ParkCloud this month learnt that the company had been shortlisted for an international trade award. Being a relatively young business, ParkCloud did not think to have a chance to compete for such recognition, and was therefore delighted to have the opportunity to showcase its recent successes and development.

ParkCloud was nominated and shortlisted for the Best International Trade Company, one of 12 different categories available in the Stockport Business Awards (SBA): this category includes international marketing strategy, sales and profitability in international markets and future development plans. ParkCloud is present in over 35 countries, and aims to continue the rapid expansion it has known over the past few months over the rest of the year.

ParkCloud’s international presence means that diversity is a key component of business. The team is made up of native speakers from more than 20 different countries, each bringing their personal knowledge of their country’s culture to the approach of business in that market. First-hand knowledge of each language and culture mean business is fluid and flexible for all parties involved, which has been paramount in bringing about ParkCloud’s recent successes.

Launched last year, the SBA proved to be an exciting and successful event, which aimed to “be a world class event that promotes Stockport outside of Stockport” according to Ben Poland, Business Development Director of organisers Clarke Nicklin LLP, and the driving force behind the event. The ceremony will take place in October, where the winners of each category will be announced, at a gala evening. Last year's ceremony was attended by over 300 business delegates.
