ParkCloud on the right track at Charleroi Airport

Belgium's second busiest airport continues to boost its online presence with the help of ParkCloud, choosing to launch its fast track security service this week alongside the existing parking pre-booking facility.

The "Priority Lane" offers travellers shorter queues and faster passage through the airport, with the added convenience of simply selecting the amenity when making their parking reservation, ensuring peace of mind before passengers even set out for the airport. This additional feature follows increased demand for advance planning, already identified in summer 2014 when BSCA more than doubled the number of parking spaces available for online reservations, in response to ParkCloud's sales channels.

The venture is not the first time ParkCloud's software has been deployed with ancillary products: in summer 2014, Poznan Airport also added Fast Track and Business Lounge services to advance parking reservations via ParkCloud's international marketing platforms and network of partners.

Valentina Moise, ParkCloud's Business Development Manager stated, "It makes sense for online booking services to extend into the airport itself. With the flight being the first thing passengers book online, why shouldn't the rest of their airport experience be available to plan from home? Parking is the tip of the iceberg and whilst it remains ParkCloud's speciality, our software is easily adapted to a range of products."

Charleroi Airport recently announced that 2014 performed better than expected, with 6.5million passengers using the airport throughout the year. The airport improved services to help keep Charleroi on the map following the movement of some aircraft by Ryanair to Brussels-Zaventem airport at the end of 2013; such efforts continue into 2015 with the launch of Priority Lane pre-booking through ParkCloud.

In the coming months, further marketing of the new service is planned in additional languages and through new partnerships in the pipeline for ParkCloud.
